How I Feel about Politics and Why!!!

I have always had very negative feelings toward politics. I know that we all have the right to our own feelings about everything in our country. Every time that we get close to choosing a new leader for our country, my whole body cringes. We are told to vote for the person of our choice, because if we don't then we won't have any say in matters that affect our lives and our country. Personally speaking I feel we don't have any say anyway.
We listen to the debates and all the promises the candidates promise to the country. How if we go for this person we will be heard, but then we vote for the person we like the most, the one with the best qualifications and/or best things offered and still the poor people are never heard!!!
Don't take me wrong I am very proud to be an American. Both my brothers have served in the armed forces, as a matter of fact one is still serving our country, with pride I may add.
I just get so tired of all the empty promises offered by the people running for office. Every time we get a new president we get told they are going to improve education, and it never happens. Instead everytime the government needs money it get taken from education. I am a teacher and I know what I am talking about. Every time we get a new president we lose more school programs, that our kids need in their lives. Programs for special needs students.
Like I said before these are my personal opinions. I am also upset about why our homeless and needy people can not get any kind of assistance, but our money gets sent to other countries. I think we should take care of our people first. No one comes to our country's aide to help our homeless, sick or needy. I feel that as Americans we should be able to speak our minds and be heard.
Another issue I have with politics is this outrageous war. As the video below shows all the good things we could have done with all the money that goes into the war. Why fight a war that will never end? Why go to a country that has been fighting for centuries, and we have no business fighting? It is their war, not ours! Our son, daughters, husbands and wives get sent to get killed, and for what? For a war that isn't any of our business anyway. Then their innocent women and children get killed by our soldiers and we are the ones considered infidels and killers, by their hateful soldiers.

The Cost Of War
TOO!! Many innocent lives wasted and for what? What are countries trying to prove to eachother. I think that if we had no war and we could all just get along, we could learn so much from eachother. There is so much good in the world, and so much knowledge. We could all save our world from destruction, and make it a wonderful place to live. A place for our children to enjoy someday. I feel as it is now, our future generations have nothing to look forward to, because we choose to act destructively! I pray that God helps us to realize what we are doing to our world, before it is too late!!
