Hi, Everyone. I'm back. Just wanted to comment on Workman34's new site. The background and layout are great. While I don't agree with everything that is written here, I believe that is the idea of the site, to get other people's input. I don't mean just disagreeing for the sake of argument, but have some legitimate things to add to this site. I believe our moderator would agree with me on this. For instance, is there really a place that is like limbo? Do you think a loving God would send us to a place like that? It would be like hanging by a thread over a vat of acid wondering when the thread is going to break and eat you up into nothingness. Would God do that? Personally I don't believe that He would. We either go to heaven or Hell and God is the only one who has the keys to open those doors. We as humans do not have that power something for which I am very glad, because I as a sinful human being would not want that responsibility. We look on the outward show, but God looks at the heart. Sometimes people say and do terrible things because they are lonely and hurting and are trying to get attention, even if it is the wrong kind. Our troll for instance, must actually like us or he would not want back in so badly. I know the things he was saying were bad and hurtful, but i believe he needs us and does not know how to ask without sounding like he needs it. He has pride and doesn't want to let his feelings show, but just by begging to be a part of what we are doing says a lot. I'm sure there are other people out there with the same feelings. People who are isolated and feel separated from their families, that their families don't understand them and they need to reach out and connect with some one even in a negative way. Since God loves us He understands this and can forgive that person if he truly asks for it. I went to church today and listened to a talk about absolute truth. There is absolute truth in the Bible and Jesus tells us the absolute truth. Not just half but the whole truth.
The reason I call this page Freedom is because we are free in Christ to practice that truth. This is what it means to me. Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Christ rose from the dead you will be saved. Sure we will die a physical death someday but our souls will never die, or go into Hell but will live with Christ in heaven forever.
God sent us into the world not to save people which we ourselves cannot do, but to point the way. We plant the seeds and someone else does the watering and God reaps the harvest. To me that is the Gospel Of Salvation in Christ. It is not something we can force on people, God never forces anything on us. That is why He gave us free will. He wants us to choose Him on our own, not because someone scared us or browbeat us into it. If he had wanted to be a dictator He could have made us puppets and then we would have had no choice or mind or ...anything. That is not love or free will. That is slavery. We are no longer slaves but free...to be God's children and his friends. He is a Friend that sticks closer than a brother. Who else would be willing to suffer at the hands of the Romans and all those who beat and humiliated Him and finally nailed him to the Cross to die for OUR sins, not His own because He was the only perfect Man who ever lived. He was also the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.
