In this page I am going to talk about the different ways children are abused. It is a subject that touches areas of my heart and goes very deep into life experiences, not only for myself, but for so many others who have suffered under the hands of adults that they trusted. This is a very hurtful subject to so many, because in one way, or another they were abused. Some were abused sexually by uncles, stepfathers, stepmothers, grandparents, sisters, brothers and so forth. Some people have never talked about it, because it wasn't allowed, or just because they were too terrified to speak about it to anyone, because of this silence that is forced upon the victims, they become very emotionally disfunctional adults. The child is intimidated by the abuser, or groomed in ways that the child feels very much confused, embarassed and alone. The abuse might go on for years and the child gets more and more withdrawn. Hoping that she/he could tell some one so that the abuse might stop. As these children get older, the blame themselves for what happened to them, they feel that some how they brought this upon themselves, which is not true. If only they would have had some one to talk to, to help them end this horrible suffering, that robbed them of their childhood.

Another kind of abuse is Physical Abuse:
Each year so many children die, because a parent could not control his or her anger and took it out on their child. Some parents say that they can not control themselves, because they were beaten as children themselves, but how can they cause others the pain that they went through. You think that because they know how it feels they wouldn't want to put their children through the same pain. I just don't understand. I came from an abusive family environment, and I promised myself that I would never put my children through what I had gone through and I kept my promise. I wanted a better life for my children, a life free from abusive behavior.
