I do not know the definite reason I am back. I do not know what inspired me to write this...reprieve.
I do know that many months ago I was...less mature. Since April I have matured quite a bit and the first step was realizing my faults to correct them. I realized that arguing accomplished slightly less than nothing and holding a grudge is worse.

I believe that part of my maturity was delving into Shamanistic beliefs and joining karate, which has given me a balanced state of mind and a new lucidity for the world. In fact, Pinan, my name, is Japanese for "Peace and Harmony". I could not think of a better name for myself now and Dictator-of-DOOM certainly isn't befitting.

I don't know how anyone will react to this, I am sure it will not be positive. But I realized that leaving you all with a bad aftertaste from my previous escapades was not a good thing to do. That is why I admit to immaturity months ago and why I am attempting to sweeten the sour tastes. I am not an Oracle, I don't know if it will work, but I hope it does.

When did the Mediterranean Basin last flood to it’s current level?

I've been researching the Mediterranean Flooding today. There's more on it, on the Internet than I suspected.

I thought TUB said the Gibraltar isthmus opened up about 60,000 years ago. But I couldn't find a date. Since TUB talks about human migration and the arrival of Adam and Eve in relation to the Mediterranean Basin, That would put it occurring between 1,000,000 and 35,000 years ago. The WEB estimates place it between 5.5 million and 8000 years ago.

P.697 - §3 The Strait of Gibraltar closed, and Spain was connected with Africa by the old land bridge, but the Mediterranean flowed into the Atlantic through a narrow channel which extended across France, the mountain peaks and highlands appearing as islands above this ancient sea. Later on, these European seas began to withdraw. Still later, the Mediterranean was connected with the Indian Ocean, while at the close of this period the Suez region was elevated so that the Mediterranean became, for a time, an inland salt sea.

P.889 - §3 Before the last Andites were driven out of the Euphrates valley, many of their brethren had entered Europe as adventurers, teachers, traders, and warriors. During the earlier days of the violet race the Mediterranean trough was protected by the Gibraltar isthmus and the Sicilian land bridge. Some of man's very early maritime commerce was established on these inland lakes, where blue men from the north and the Saharans from the south met Nodites and Adamites from the east.

P.890 - §8 About the time of these climatic changes in Africa, England separated from the continent, and Denmark arose from the sea, while the isthmus of Gibraltar, protecting the western basin of the Mediterranean, gave way as the result of an earthquake, quickly raising this inland lake to the level of the Atlantic Ocean.

the answer-

P.844 - §4 …. and the next day at noon these pilgrims went forth from Eden in quest of new homes. Adam had no liking for war and accordingly elected to leave the first garden to the Nodites unopposed.

P.847 - §1 When Adam elected to leave the first garden to the Nodites unopposed, he and his followers could not go west, for the Edenites had no boats suitable for such a marine adventure.

OK. So that’s 37,848 - 4,000 plus how ever long Adam stayed in the garden before leaving. (Approx 105 years )We’re getting close to 33,743 years ago as the approximate time of the event of the flooding and sinking of the Mediterranean Basin. That would be about 33,743 years ago. Right?

P.828 - §1 Adam and Eve arrived on Urantia, from the year A.D. 1934, 37,848 years ago. It was in midseason when the Garden was in the height of bloom that they arrived. At high noon and unannounced, the two seraphic transports, accompanied by the Jerusem personnel intrusted with the transportation of the biologic uplifters to Urantia, settled slowly to the surface of the revolving planet in the vicinity of the temple of the Universal Father.

Than we add on the differential from when the years were calculated until now which would be 2008 - 1934 and we get 64 more years. So that would be 33,743 plus 64 would be 33,807 years ago or about 31,800 BCE.

P.826 - §6 … The sinking was not sudden, several hundred years being required completely to submerge the entire peninsula.

Then we factoring the time it took to flood the whole Mediterranean basin from TUB data. - several hundred years

So according to information from TUB we get a more specific estimation as to when exactly was the last time the Mediterranean Basin flooded. It began flooding about 33,807 years ago and finished about 33, 607 years ago. Or expressed as a date- The Mediterranean Basin last flooded between 31,800 BCE and 31,600BCE.

Did God give man dogs as "BEST FRIENDS" in reality?

I have three dogs and I trully believe that God gave us these loyal friends as Best Friends. Who or what else, besides God can love you unconditionally. I have seen people beat their dogs till they bleed and the poor animal will still coming crawling to his master. I have know of dogs who were abandoned by their owners and the dogs traveled miles and miles to find them. I don't understand how people can be so cruel to such loyal and devoted animals. I personally feel that they are creatures sent by God to protect and love us. They don't care if we are ugly, fat, mean,skinny,poor or even homeless. They just want to love and be loved.

The individual will enjoy far more liberty under world government. Today, the citizens of the great powers are taxed, regulated, and controlled almost oppressively, and much of this present interference with individual liberties will vanish when the national governments are willing to trustee their sovereignty as regards international affairs into the hands of global government.

Under global government the national groups will be afforded a real opportunity to realize and enjoy the personal liberties of genuine democracy. The fallacy of self-determination will be ended. With global regulation of money and trade will come the new era of world-wide peace. Soon may a global language evolve, and there will be at least some hope of sometime having a global religion—or religions with a global viewpoint.

Collective security will never afford peace until the collectivity includes all mankind.

The political sovereignty of representative mankind government will bring lasting peace on earth, and the spiritual brotherhood of man will forever insure good will among all men. And there is no other way whereby peace on earth and good will among men can be realized.

asokanvvr I hope you find these ideas hopeful asokanvvr. As your post on this site gives me HOPE. Because it will begin with small numbers of forward thinking individuals with a hope and answers for establishing world peace. And one day there will be enough of us who see each others as brothers and sisters as God's Children to be able to implement and influence those leaders who will make the pivotal decisions to make peace. You can't image how I pray and work towards the election of Obama and the Hope he represents of working internationally towards Peace. And the relief I have in knowing that that War Monger Bush and His Greedy Texas Billionaires will have their political power reduced. I only hope we can make them make retributions for the damage they've done. Bless You!

In muntaka upanishad of hindu philosophy chapter third describes a story of two birds. one is adma (soul) and another is jeev.(life) jeev eats the fruit of fig tree (Pippala) and adma is looking at her without any influence.. this story is told to explain even though the life (living being) is doing the worldly things (including sex) it will not affect the soul inside. the following points are coincide. adam and adma. eve and jeev. pipple and bible. fig and fig (not changed). forbidden fruit is forbidden fruit (not changed) upanishads are 5000 years old. bible is 2000 years old. is it possible that this story has taken this new shape in 3000 years?

I'm going to start doing a bible search on being saved. Here's some of the catagories I'm thinking about searching for Bible quotes for. You could subsititude Survive or Survival for "Being saved". What's happens when were saved? How are we saved? What do we have to do to be saved? How do we lose or forfiet being saved? etc. etc. The following are some of the questions whose answers I'll be looking for in the Bible. Throughout the universe, every unit is regarded as a part of the whole. Survival of the part is dependent on co-operation with the plan and purpose of the whole,[this cooperation is:] the wholehearted desire and perfect willingness to do the Father's divine will. The only evolutionary world without error (the possibility of unwise judgment) would be a world without free intelligence. It could be that in the universe there are a billion perfect worlds with their perfect inhabitants, but evolving man [humans] must be fallible if he is to be free. Free and inexperienced intelligence cannot possibly at first be uniformly wise. The possibility of mistaken judgment (evil) becomes sin only when the human will consciously endorses and knowingly embraces a deliberate immoral judgment.

Determinism - absolute dependence on antecedent causation

Having thus provided for the growth of the immortal soul[ by the wholehearted desire and perfect willingness to do the Father's divine will ]and having liberated man's inner self from the fetters of absolute dependence on antecedent causation,[Determinism] the Father stands aside. Now, man having thus been liberated [freed] from the fetters of causation response, at least as pertains to eternal destiny, and provision having been made for the growth of the immortal self, the soul, it remains for man himself to will the creation or to inhibit the creation of this surviving and eternal self which is his for the choosing. No other being, force, creator, or agency in all the wide universe of universes can interfere to any degree with the absolute sovereignty of the mortal free will, as it operates within the realms of choice, regarding the eternal destiny of the personality of the choosing mortal. As pertains to eternal survival, God has decreed the sovereignty of the material and mortal will["free will"], and that decree is absolute.

How Does Jesus Help us in Our lives Everyday!

Jesus gives me the patience to put up with some of my co-workers and other people I have encountered in my lifetime. He gives me the courage to walk away, instead of getting angry, or retaliating. He gives me the strength to support and not give up on "Some" of my family members. Instead I listen and try to understand why they are the way they are. He gives me the courage to change the things that I need to change about me. I am not perfect in any way,shape or form, so I ask the Lord to guide me in my daily endeavors. Sometimes I start to feel sorry for myself and I ask him for guidance and hope, so that I may change my way of thinking. When a loved one dies, and I have felt angry, and blamed God, he has helped me understand that things happen for a reason. Jesus has been with me everyday of my life and I feel this, because if it wasn't true I would have never made this long in life. My morning drives to work are time to thank Jesus for all the beauty he has given to us. Not only our families, but everything, the trees, the animals, the people, our sight., our jobs as miserable as they might be at times, So many ways that he shows us he is always there for us. Even the flutter of a butterfly's wings tells us he is there and he loves us very much!!
