“The brotherhood of men is founded on the fatherhood of God.
The family of God is derived from the love of God--God is love.
God the Father divinely loves his children, all of them. The kingdom of heaven,
the divine government, is founded on the fact of divine sovereignty--God is spirit.
Since God is spirit, this kingdom is spiritual.
The kingdom of heaven is neither material nor merely intellectual;
it is a spiritual relationship between God and man.
If different religions recognize the spirit sovereignty of God the Father,
then will all such religions remain at peace.
Only when one religion assumes that it is in some way superior to all others,
and that it possesses exclusive authority over other religions,
will such a religion presume to be intolerant of other religions or dare to persecute other religious believers.
Religious peace--brotherhood--
can never exist unless all religions are willing to completely divest themselves
of all ecclesiastical authority and fully surrender all concept of spiritual sovereignty.
God alone is spirit sovereign.
You cannot have equality among religions (religious liberty)
without having religious wars unless all religions consent to the transfer of all religious sovereignty
to some superhuman level, to God himself.
The kingdom of heaven in the hearts of men will create religious unity (not necessarily uniformity)
because any and all religious groups composed of such religious believers
will be free from all notions of ecclesiastical authority--religious sovereignty.
God is spirit, and God gives a fragment of his spirit self to dwell in the heart of man.
Spiritually, all men are equal.
The kingdom of heaven is free from castes, classes, social levels, and economic groups.
You are all brethren.
But the moment you lose sight of the spirit sovereignty of God the Father,
some one religion will begin to assert its superiority over other religions;
and then, instead of peace on earth and good will among men,
there will start dissensions, recriminations, even religious wars, at least wars among religionists.

Mission Statement
I want to welcome everyone to "Talking About God And Spirituality" We are a growing web forum community. We are here to talk about religion and personal spirituality. We all come from differing religious backgrounds and different levels of spirituality. Some of us here believe in God and some do not. The main thing is, that we have come together here to put aside our differences long enough to listen and talk to one another. Since time began, men and woman have fought over our differences and separated ourselves from others. In order to make this world a better place to live, we need to come together and share ourselves.

You can apply to be a writer on this site and post your own pages(blog)
of religious beliefs. At the bottom of this page, you will find links to all the pages of this site.
Those are pages of the members of this forum. They can be used for
discussion topics in the forum section of this site. I encourage you all to go through the pages
from our members and make comments in the forum. Start a discussion. I have posted much
of my beliefs on this forum to get this site going. My beliefs are not what's important here!
What's important is that we all have beliefs that are important to us and we all can get along
together if we try hard enough. Worklady13 and I are readers of the Urantia Book and we
subscribe to the teachings of Jesus. We do our best to apply these teaching in our daily lives.

I was having a conversation with someone on a different forum and the discussion was on religious tolerance. My stance was that we should all try to exercise some tolerance of other religions. The person I was talking to helped me to realize a bigger picture than just being tolerant. The following is a quote from that thread:

"Hi Claudia, Its Great to meet you. I loved your post. You said:
"I found it important, in the article's instructions to UB'ers, NOT to claim possession of "the complete truth", as that would be no different from other denominations claiming there dogma/ beliefs to be the complete truth. This is a good point you have brought up here.
So, when I say religious tolerance, I should also be saying religious acceptance.

Why? Why do you think this is? My site reports say lots of people look, but i dont know if that's just me or you guys. I typed in the name at wetpaint.com and my site was on the FIFTH PAGE! I had to type in obscure terms like my gods' names to get it as the first result on the first page! Why do you think this is?!!

What would you say is wrong with a polytheistic religion. What do you think its downfalls might be.
On another note, I am devoting a few weeks to the study of my religion's language.
